Messianic Miracles
Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem and sent to Israel as her Redeemer and King. The faithful Jews knew from His signs and miracles that Jesus was the promised Redeemer and King, but the Jewish leadership denied the same signs and miracles because most of them served Satan.
The Jewish leaders plotted to kill Jesus, but they were afraid that the crowds who believed in Jesus would allow Him to step in as the rightful King, and throw them out.
The crucifixion was God’s plan of salvation for mankind. For the crucifixion to go ahead, there had to be enough Jews who were not convinced that Jesus was their Redeemer and King, so that they would allow their leaders to turn over Jesus to be crucified.
Wherever Jesus went, He allowed only His signs and miracles to testify as to His identity. He actually told people not to tell others who He was! The result was that the faithful knew who He was, and the uncertain were there for the Jewish leaders to influence to yell, “Crucify Him!”
